What is cosplay? Cosplay means costume play. To me cosplay is a way for me to show my love for a particular game, anime or manga character. It is also a way for me to express myself in a totally different way. Cosplay has help build up my confidence and created many ring of friends for me.

 

I started cosplaying when a friend nudged me to participate in a cosplay event in 2004. After I did it once. I was hooked and wanted to do more. Cosplay has also improved my sewing skills a whole lot. I will usually sew my own costume whenever it is simple in pattern. If I could not sew it, I ask for a tailor for help. I hope to improve more so that I will be able to create more costumes by myself! I find great enjoyment in the process of creating the costume as well as props and of course, the duration of the cosplay itself, be it during event or photoshoot.

 

I guess I'll continue cosplaying until life's obligation start to take over. Even then I don't think I'll be able to give-up my love for Anime and Games. I hope to see more and more cosplayers and events in Malaysia.
